FB reminded me of this post I made 2 years ago ❤ This little guy is my rock, he is my heat and soul and this year I almost lost him 😞 If you recall he had to have his GB, which ruptured while he was on the table, removed a couple of months ago and although the surgery was successful, I almost lost him to complications from diabetes. It was the worst 2 weeks of my life as I could not imagine my life without him ❤️

It is so ironic how 2 years ago I said almost the exact same words to my little man 2 years later ❤ He is my dog, my heart and soul and oh how I love him ❤ tw, LNPB

Good night sweet angel Alley, mommy loves and misses you so ❤

" He is my rock, he stepped right up and was there to comfort me when we had to say good bye to Alley even though he too was mourning her loss 😞 We were there for each other and we never left each other's side. Then one day in November I noticed something was very wrong with my little man. Every water bowl in the house was bone dry and Chauncy could not walk but a few feet without urine pouring out of him. I found him trembling and hiding in a corner as if thinking he was doing something wrong 😞 I scooped him up in my arms and told him " whatever this is little man, mommy is going to get you help and you are going to be ok". I suspected diabetes from the start and I remember as the Doc was explaining his treatment, the insulin shots 2x a day, the special diet , the blood curves, the blood tests etc etc how my eyes welled up thinking " this is how and why these poor sick animals that we rescue every day end up abandoned in the shelters by the only humans they ever loved when they need them the most" 😞 Yes I was scared and yes I was overwhelmed HOWEVER as I looked over at Chauncy on the table and saw his sad eyes looking right through my soul, I could see how frightened and unsure he was. I went to him, held him close in my arms and assured him, that no matter what, we were going to get through this together ." <3
