Happy 1 week Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. RESCUVERSARY ASH , WE DID IT ❤️❤️❤️
Exactly one week ago today little did Ash know he was about to witness his first human angel. On Ash Wednesday I received an email asking if I could help a GS that a woman found on the side of the road. Now we don’t normally take in stray animals so I closed the email and got on FB. The VERY POST I see is a plea for help for a GS that looked horrible 😩 I looked at the name on the post and realized this was the same woman that sent me the email.
That day, 2/26/2020, one week ago today, 3 lives were about to be changed forever ❤️ Erin Nelsen saw Ash on the side of the road in a ditch, she stopped, managed to get him in her car, reached out to LNPB, posted his plea and the rest is history ❤️
Ash was blessed that day when a perfect stranger stopped and cared enough to help and seek assistance . When we connected she did not hesitate to drive Ash to The Pet Doctors of Sherman Oaks for us and at that point Ash knew his life had been blessed by an angel ❤️
The torture this young dog has known is beyond my comprehension however, that day, Ash Wednesday, that all ended through the kindness of a stranger ❤️
We did not know if Ash would make it however we asked for just 24 hours and, as the saying goes, “ what a difference a day makes, 24 little hours “❤️ I asked him not to give up, I assured him no harm would ever come to him again. I asked him to trust us, I told him he was so loved, no longer alone and that his life mattered. I placed his paw in my hand and whispered “ together we can do this. “
Ash continues to heal and grow stronger, we never gave up on him and he never gave up on us ❤️ A miracle? Perhaps or perhaps on that Wed, one week ago today, Ash witnessed, for the first time in his life, everything that is good, kind, loving and caring in this world, when one stranger extended her hand in help and changed three lives forever ❤️ For every one person who brings harm to an animal, there is an army of us right behind them to make it right ❤️ Thank you to everyone who has donated to help us continue to help sweet Ash, it takes a village to help save a life and Ash has been blessed with all of you, the most amazing village ever, on his journey to recovery ❤ It all starts with an extended hand and one act of kindness ❤️ tw, LNPB
