Maggie Mae is on all of our minds today as well as in our hearts. Please know that the Docs are running all tests necessary and she is receiving the best of care. Shelter medical notes state: "A large hard mass on her left shoulder which extends through her bracial plexus region to ventral thorax". Our Doc concurs that the mass is a rock hard tumor and will be taking his own x rays to see if it has spread to her lungs and chest. A biopsy will be performed once x rays are taken and findings are complete and she is cleared for sedation. She also has KC which is being treated and is on pain meds to keep her comfortable. Blood work has been done and as soon as we get an update we will pass it on. Doc says she is young however more likely 5-6 years old. I will never understand how someone could have allowed her to get in the condition, however our concern and focus right now is to do everything possible to help her. She is a sweetheart of a dog and we were so glad we were able to get her out of the shelter. We will update as we learn more so please be patient as we allow our very trusted DVM's do what they do best. All paws are raised in prayer for sweet Maggie Mae. <3 tw, LNPB
