Oh I so wish we had better news 😩 Sadly , as I type this through tears, we were told today by the specialist that Maya’s tumor is inoperable and she showed us small dark nodules found on the chest and skull xrays where the cancer has metastasized 😩 She also told us this tumor took years to grow to this size 💔 Maya’s tumor has also started to “ leak” which means it could rupture at any time
and that It is very painful and she recommended humane euthanasia 😩

We are all heartbroken and at a loss for words, Maya is such a sweet dog and we are so grateful that she did not have to languish in the shelter and has been on pain management, receiving love and kindness during her stay with us ❤️

We will be with her, holding her, reminding her she is not alone, so very loved and that her life matters ❤️ Rescue is so bitter sweet 💔

We spoke to the shelter as we rescued her on a good sam, the shelter vet was so kind, agreed and thanked us for giving her some time to know love ❤️ Oh Maya we are so sorry your humans failed you 💔 Tonight the skies will light up with a brand new shining star as the heavens and my Alley and Chauncy welcome home another brand new angel ❤️ RIP sweet girl, gone but never forgotten ❤️ Rescue is so bitter sweet 💔 tw, LNPB

A huge and heart felt thank you to Frank Wisneski and Sue Lehman for being and staying with Maya and me today and to everyone who donated for her care and loved her and to VMD Missy Achenbach and the entire staff at The Pet Doctors of Sherman Oaks for making her final days the best days of her little life ❤️ tw, LNPB
