UPDATE! My son tells us “ Major is out of surgery, spleen removed along with the mass, everything is being sent in for biopsy. The Dr mentioned how stable he’s been under anesthesia and that his cardio is great. Damn dog has a Runner’s heart. Hoping he will be running by my side again soon. He will be spending the night at an er for overnight monitoring.”

Major, who will be 11 years old in December, is now a retired D.A.D and beloved family member, who still continues to alert to high's and low's at home with my grandson. He is not only a true life saver, he is a beloved family fur member and my son's best friend ❤

Major is a rescue who was trained to be a Diabetic Alert Dog and for the last 9 1/2 years he has paid his gift of life forward each and every day. He has been my grandson's life saving protector since day 1 and my son's constant companion.

My son noticed that Major was not himself the last 24 hours so he brought him in to the Leave No Paws Behind Veterinary Clinic for a check up, blood work and x rays, all of which revealed he has a mass on his spleen. Major is now being prepped for emergency surgery and we need your prayers. He is in the absolute best of hands with two of the best and most amazing surgeons I know, our very own VMD Missy Achenbach and DVM Alison Hoffman and our entire team and support staff.

Please, please keep our beloved Major and our family in your thoughts and prayers ❤❤🙏🙏
