UPFRONT AND PERSONAL ❤️ I remember this day 13 years ago when I received that phone call that every parent dreads. My son, Frank Wisneski had just had a heart attack and was in the hospital. I don't remember much after I hung up the phone for at that very moment my whole world went dark.
I remember the fear and anguish that engulfed me at the thought of losing the one person who is truly my heart and soul. Somehow God gave me the strength to keep it together and remain strong and calm as I entered his room. I remember seeing him lying there, I saw not the amazing man he is today but the little blonde haired, blue eyed boy from many years ago who looked so frightened and all I wanted to do was scoop him up in my arms, protect him from all harm and whisper " mommy's here, don't be afraid".
I remember thinking to myself that it was not the "natural order of things " for a mom to be at the bedside of her only child while he was being tended to by a cardiologist. It is hard to believe that 13 years have flown by however there is not one day that passes where I do not get give thanks for my son, the most precious gift I have ever received. I am very happy to say that my son, with a lot of hard work and determination, turned his life completely around and today lives each and every moment to the fullest! He is a wonderful and amazing dad, a devoted husband and a loving and caring son and advocate for animals ❤
He is living his dream, he is an avid runner, works out daily and has entered, and completed numerous marathons over the years. He is also an avid, compassionate animal lover who, over the years, has devoted his time and talent to photographing shelter animals and rescuing our seniors here at Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. so they too, like him, may have a second chance at life AND today he is that smiling face that greets everyone at the Leave No Paws Behind Veterinary Clinic❤️
I am reminded each and every day what is truly important in life and I never miss an opportunity to let him know how proud I am of him and how much I love, respect and admire him for the wonderful, amazing man he is today. He is my son, my best friend, an extension of who I am and I love him. ❤ tw, LNPB
