This is such a beautiful celebration of Alfie’s life and I want to thank our LNPB villager Sherry Tranmer-Hancock for this beautiful memorial video ❤️💔❤️

Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. rescued Alfie 12/27/2019 who, at 4 years old, was owner surrendered suffering with an autoimmune disease known as ITP. He was so sick and we were advised to humanely euthanize HOWEVER I asked for 24 hours and the rest was history ❤️ We were able to manage his disease over the months as he went on to enjoy his gift of life and love for over a year ❤️

Due to the severity of his condition, the number of restrictions, medications, medical care and visits he required, I personally stepped up to foster him right here at LNPB ❤️ Alfie was the kindest dog I have ever known, second only to my Alley ❤️ In spite of knowing the eventual outcome of his condition, paw in hand we went on to enjoy an amazing fun filled life of love one day at a time ❤️ He loved car rides, his uncle Lenny, his trips to the Leave No Paws Behind Veterinary Clinic, music, TV, his toys, food, Pops and Rambo and cuddle time with mom ❤️

He had set backs over the year however he always bounced back up until recently. Alfie suffered several mini strokes which affected his body and mind and I honestly believed, as did his Doctors, his last trip to the hospital would be the last time I would ever see him 😩 Miraculously though, he held on and the Doc told me “ I believe Alfie wants and needs to come home to be with his family for closure” 💔

This past Sunday he wobbled his tired little body down the hall to say good morning, he said hi to Rams, Pops and myself. He wanted to go outside where we enjoyed some sunshine and then, after not eating for a period of time, he ate a little food as I hand fed him and we spent the day cuddling on the couch ❤️ Early Monday morning Alfie suffered with another stroke and the tears flowed as my heart cracked holding him and whispering how much I loved him 💔

Alfie did it his way on his terms and he gave me the final, ultimate unconditional gift of love in the end, the opportunity to say good bye 💔 Though my heart is broken, I know Alfie is pain free and whole again, he was an amazing little dog with a fighting spirit and he enjoyed and was grateful for every second of every day of his life ❤️ Run free little man and thank you for continuing to remind me why, as heartbreaking as it can be, I continue to do what I do ❤️ I will hold you in my heart until I can hold you in my arms when we meet again ❤️ Thanks for the memories little man, I had the time of my life ❤️ tw, LNPB

A very huge and heart felt thank you to all of you for your kindness, love and continued support and a very special thank you to the entire team and staff at TrueCare for pets for taking such excellent care of our boy ❤️
