WE HAVE REACHED OUT GOAL! I just spoke to Guerrero's mom and wished her a very Merry Christmas then told her that Guerrero's bill has been taken care of! I also let her know we will be refunding her deposit! She broke down in tears and had me crying right with her! I let her know that there are kind people in this world and they all reside right here at LNPB ❤ Thank you to everyone who donated to help grant one little boy's Christmas wish ❤ MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I had a dream that one day I would find a way to help pet humans care for their beloved fur family members at an affordable cost. Now I did not just act on a whim, I have been in Corporate Finance for over 45 years, so a couple of years ago I began to do my research. I researched costs, overhead, prices that were being charged and so forth , bottom line, I did my homework. While we encountered so many obstacles along the way with construction, inspectors, permits etc etc AND the ultimate road block, the COVID 19 pandemic, it never stopped me and in May of this year we finally opened the Leave No Paws Behind Veterinary Clinic. We staffed our clinic with those that believed in our mission, " to help those who needed it keep their beloved pets at homes and out of the
shelters". The rest is history ❤

Meet Guerrero, a handsome 2 year old German Shepard who is a beloved companion to a young boy. A month or so ago someone ransacked his family's home and Guerreo got out. The family was beside themselves, they never stopped looking for him and finally he showed up at a shelter. Sadly Guerreo was emaciated and in bad shape, he must have been hit by a car as his left front leg was dangling and his left hind leg was shattered 💔

His mom took him in to have him checked, x rays were taken and the Vets told her that he had a cracked and fractured elbow and that he also needed FHO surgery. She was quoted thousands of dollars and of course given the option to PTS if she could not afford to have him treated 💔 She then learned about LNPB and was hoping we could help. Our DVM Alison Hoffman, spoke with me about this family and the dog and told me he did indeed need all that was advised and the sooner the better, however his mom had just lost her job due to Covid 19, and Dr Hoffman, asked if we could help her. We received an estimate of $362.24-$581.74

Sadly Guerrero's mom could not afford our already low cost for this type of surgery, so we discounted and she told us she could borrow the lower amount. That told me all I needed to know, she loves her dog and would do anything to help him ❤ We have booked Guerrero for surgery the 1st week in January and I cannot even begin to tell you the feeling that comes over me knowing that one more time, we are going to be able to help a loving family stay together and assure they will be medically treated.

His mom has paid the deposit on the lower end of the estimate as she was able to borrow from a relative and LNPB will cover the balance. The stories that we hear, the love that we see, the tears that are shed, well let's just say, that there are good people out there that truly will go to any length to help their beloved animals.

If you can help us continue to help Guerrero and his mom, and so many others who need just a little bit of help, no amount is too small and all amounts are tax deductible. Merry Christmas Guerrero, there really is a Santa Paws that lives in the hearts of all of us here at Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. ❤ tw, LNPB
